Dr. Malloy adjusting a man's spine

Dr. Michael Malloy

Dr. Michael Malloy is the founder and guiding force behind Sandy Plains Chiropractic, bringing more than 35 years of clinical experience rooted in integrity, empathy, and personalized care. Known for his calm presence and deep clinical insight, Dr. Malloy blends evidence-based care with genuine connection, creating individualized treatment plans that support healing at every level.

  • Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday12:30pm - 5:30pmFriday & Saturday7:30am - 12:30pm

  • Before adjusting spines, Dr. Michael Malloy was laying foundations, literally. He attended Cornell University, graduating in 1972 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Biology. All the while, he was building homes, combining science and craftsmanship in a way that would later define his clinical style.
He spent 18 years as a contractor before a herniated disc forced a turning point. Advised to go to surgery or a chiropractor, Dr. Malloy chose to visit the chiropractor. The results were life-changing, and they launched him into a new calling. He enrolled at Life Chiropractic College and graduated Valedictorian in 1990.
Since the early ’90s, Dr. Mike has led Sandy Plains Chiropractic Clinic with integrity, empathy, and clinical excellence. Known for his calm presence and encyclopedic insight, he’s spent over 35 years helping patients restore movement, clarity, and control. His integrative philosophy blends evidence-based practice with personal connection, making each treatment plan as individualized as the patients themselves.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Malloy lives what he teaches: clean eating, daily yoga, and weekly ice hockey with two of his sons. He’s been married to his wife, Faith, since 1977, together since 1975, and their enduring partnership is the anchor of his life and legacy.

  • Patients often say they feel better just being around him. Maybe it’s his grounded energy. Maybe it’s the humor. Or maybe it’s what nearly four decades of care have proven again and again: healing isn’t just what he does, it’s who he is.
